NIKE Tee Promotion

Before 2007 Nike was the exclusive partner of Michigan Athletics. In 2007 the Wolverines switched to Adidas and many Michigan fans believed that switch marked the beginning of the football teams demise. Fast forward to 2016 and the University announced their return to Nike as their partner. The University community and Michigan fans were excited to say the least. There was a countdown clock on the athletics page and people were camping outside of the M-Den to get the new Michigan + Nike apparel as soon as it became available. At the Alumni Association we got the opportunity to release the first official Nike + Michigan Tee in 9 years. We used this opportunity to acquire new members, giving them the exclusive Nike Tee for free with their membership. My team had to come up with a concept for the teaser phase and reveal phase along with the design of the t-shirt, which were shown in emails, advertisements, on social media, and our website. This promotion was an incredible success selling out within the first 24 hours.
